Photo and Video Policy

We are excited for you to share your Ghost Manor experiences with your friends on social media, but it’s imperative that our community also respects the rights of the creators that participate in bringing about this attraction through thousands of hours of hard work. This Photo & Video Policy covers what is and isn’t allowed so that we can all achieve our goals. “Content” includes, without limitation, videos, clips, photographs, audio recordings, text, graphics, logos, icons, and images. Even though it is viewable from the public street, Ghost Manor contains many original, recorded audiovisual elements that remain subject to certain exclusive rights even in this context and require permission to record, use, reproduce, or redistribute.

Photo / Video Policy

Smart phones and point-and-shoot digital cameras without interchangeable lenses are allowed for recording Content that is personal and non-commercial in nature (non-sponsored and not directly or indirectly monetized), subject to the limitations below.

Allowed Photos: Feel free to share your own photos with friends and family as well as post them on your own personal social media pages, channels, blogs, and websites (collectively, “Sites”), as long as they are strictly non-commercial.

Allowed Videos: You may post brief video excerpts of a few scenes on your non-commercial Sites, provided that such videos are your own and each comprise only a small portion of a song and are done in an editorial/journalistic fashion (highlighting your experience as opposed to reproducing all or most of a song or scene).

Not Allowed: You may not sell or in any way monetize any Content, directly or indirectly. (This should go without saying, but believe it or not, we actually found someone selling fake Ghost Manor photos, throw pillows, coffee mugs, and all sorts of things.) Without limitation, this includes not only physical goods, but also online channels that pay you (or which you hope to one day eventually compensate you) for views, clicks, traffic, subscribers, etc. (This also includes YouTube channels that are monetized or intended to be monetized, regardless of whether the specific individual Content-containing videos posted to the channel are themselves monetized).

Not Allowed: No video recording of complete or mostly complete songs/scenes in any media for any purpose, without express permission. No posting Content in an amount exceeding a few excerpts presented in an editorial/journalistic fashion.

WHEN IN DOUBT, ASK! We might be open to some limited exceptions, but please ask for express permission first.
